Farris Customs Broker’s 20 plus years of industry experience will be with you every step of the import process from ISF filing, documentation, customs clearance, and tariff classification, giving you the assurance that your cargo will be cleared and moving to its final destination. Our Automated Broker Interface allows us to obtain customs clearance before your cargo is discharged by presenting entry documents electronically to Customs prior to the arrival of the cargo. All our ISF filings are done electronically via the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) as well, for quick and seamless submission.
Import Security Filing (ISF 10+2) is a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulation requiring importers and vessel carriers to provide advance data elements electronically to CBP for non-bulk cargo shipments in-bound into the United States by vessel. The focus of this initiative is to improve CBP's ability to recognize high-risk shipments in advance to ensure the safety of America's borders. Under this rule, failure to comply with the new rule could ultimately result in monetary penalties, increased inspection and delay of cargo. CBP may issue liquidated damages of $5,000 per violation for the submission of an inaccurate, incomplete or untimely filing.
We provide timely and accurate transmissions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In addition, as a Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) participant, we help you avoid delays on U.S. inbound shipments as a certified part of your supply chain.
As your customs broker, we will advise you about bonding requirements on your particular shipments. A Customs Bond is a guarantee to Customs that the importer will pay all duties, taxes, and fees associated with the importation of commercial goods into the United States, in full and in a timely manner. Let Farris Customs Brokers handle your bond requirements from continuous, to single entry and ISF stand alone bonds.
